A waste of passionate intensity

It turns out there is a phrase that's more depressing than "a new food and wine matching app". But probably only one.

There's a line in Yeats’ poem The Second Coming where he says:

The best lack all conviction, while the worst

Are full of passionate intensity

It captures a lot of the people (and the problems) in the wine trade.
